- 2 t Cocoa Butter
- 2 t Honey
- 1/4 t Black Cocoa Powder
- 1 Egg Yolk
- 3 Drops Peppermint (Mentha piperita) Essential Oil
- Egg White
Directions: In a Pyrex bowl inside a saucepan filled with water (or your water bath; Bain Marie), add the Cocoa Butter and stir while it melts completely over a low flame. Then add the Honey and stir until thoroughly dissolved. Turn off the flame and add the Cocoa powder and stir until mixed completely. (This is a good time to make the Banana Walnut Face Scrub) Let cool slightly. Then divide an egg, adding the yolk to the mixture and the white into a separate ramekin. Mix the yolk into the mixture until smooth. Add 3 drops of Peppermint essential oil. Stir in.
On a clean face (and after the Banana Walnut Face Scrub preferably) either brush on with a fan brush, or carefully apply with your fingers all over the face, neck and decollete. Continue to massage for a few minutes. Then using a small brush or your little finger, dab some of the Egg White around the eye area. Continue to massage the Chocolate Mint Mask a few minutes more until the mask begins to get difficult to massage (Do not let it get completely dry). This is the time to take a warm wash cloth and gently to remove the entire mask in small areas at a time, rinsing the wash cloth intermittently. Once the mask is thoroughly removed, apply a hydrosol to the entire facial area with a saturated cotton ball. The skin should feel very soft and clean at this point. Spritz the entire area with more hydrosol and add a few drops of your favorite facial oil, like White Camellia or Pomegranate.
